Healthy Eating

Our catering staff work hard to ensure the girls have a balanced diet and a variety of cooked meals. We offer a selection of hot meals each day at lunchtime and aim to cater for all dietary needs. Every day there is a hot cooked meal, including a vegetarian option, We actively encourage all students to try new dishes and to eat a balanced diet. The school monitor students' diets and promote healthy alternatives.

Fresh Fruit & Vegetables

At each meal, there is a selection of fresh fruit and vegetables available. These items are readily available both at breakfast and supper enabling girls to have their recommended 'five a day' intake of fruit and vegetables. Seasonal fruit and vegetables are sourced from a variety of suppliers, including some local produce.

Meat & Fish

Only prime cuts of lean, fresh meat are purchased and sourced from Irish farmers. In keeping with school tradition, fish is provided.

Packed Lunches

As many of our students take part in after school activities and sports events, we provide packed lunches and ensure the girls have plenty of time to enjoy their lunch or early supper. Packed lunches consist of a selection of sandwich fillings, a yoghurt, piece of fruit, healthy snack bar and bottle of mineral water.

Dietary Requirements

Kitchen staff are aware of all students' dietary requirements and meals are tailor made so that every girl is able to enjoy nutritious meals each day.
