At the weekend and during the week after lessons, a whole host of activities are arranged. Weekend activities might include Egyptian dancing, driving lessons, fashion-design course, numerous sporting activities, walks to the beach or in the beautiful grounds of the school. The girls are rarely bored and rarely watch TV.
The younger girls are fully entertained with a diverse schedule of supervised events whilst the senior students have more independence to organise their time between study and relaxation. The freedom to go out is an important part of boarding life and on Sundays, minibuses take students into An Daingean on a supervised shopping trip. Workshops are often staged by teachers and visiting experts on subjects ranging from drama and dance to local history and craftwork.
Locally there is a rich history and heritage to explore and in good weather we try to organize tours of the surrounding areas with local Irish-speaking historians.
